More Outdoor Christmas!

A little more Christmas to share today. I manged to snap a few shots on my lunch break yesterday.
Tomorrow night is my Open House Party! I just can't wait! I'm hosting my first "adult" party...a Christmas Party at that!
I will be busy, busy, busy after work tonight with the final preparations and 60 or so luminaries. I so wish all of you could come! Can you tell I'm like a kid in a candy store about the whole thing?!
Or as my husband declares, nutty as a fruitcake!

BTW I really don't like the pale gray on the exterior. I'm planning to paint the siding a very dark charcoal gray, hopefully this spring. I think it will look much better with the brick and roof line and make the white trim really pop!
Have a great Thursday!

Outdoor Christmas

It's was raining cats and dogs last night so I didn't get to take pictures of the icicle lights that are now up. (Yippee!)
Here are a few outdoor shots I took a couple of nights ago.
It's dark when I get home from work so I haven't had a chance to take pictures during the day.

I'll be participating in
The Nesters Christmas Tour of Homes
on Monday Dec 14th!
I can hardly wait!
I'll have everything done and photographed in time for that post. I'm expecting to see all kinds of creative ideas that day!

I've also been catching up on special ordered Christmas gifts.
If you're looking for a great gift, there's still time to order one!

Name your team!

Happy Wednesday!

Ho Ho Ho Holidays!

I'm exhausted! I have just been so busy lately with the party coming up, cleaning and decorating the house, magazine awards at work, crafting special orders for Christmas. I know you are all just as busy this time of year!

I keep thinking after I do this, I can rest, but sigh...there is always something else after "this"
We never get as much help as we would like do we?
You know we do it to ourselves, there is just one more ornament to add, one more light string to put up
and I love every minute of it!

I reconnected with an old friend from High school recently that is in a sour grapes mood about Christmas this year...no tree, no help, she's not doing it, she's tired!

I'm sorry for her to be in such a mood, but I don't really understand it. My thoughts just keep coming back to "how could you not do it!?"

I hope she will find her "Christmas Spirit" and I hope/know you all already have it! So in the spirit, take a moment to stop, take a deep breath and reflect on the meaning of Christmas, then get back to work, there are cookies still to be baked!

Deck the halls?

Okay, This is what I'm faced with...how do I turn all of "this" into beautiful viable products for Christmas?!? I'm thinking lots of glue!
Or the other alternative- a straight jacket. Stay tuned for the outcome, lets hope the glue wins out! Happy Thursday Ya'll!
