Little green apples
Shall we begin with a salad?
I love this lettuce leaf salad set.
A surprise Mother's Day gift a few years ago.
It is so big though, my small guest lists
have yet to have it filled!
The apple placemats are a new find from TJ Maxx.
Green and white is such a fresh color scheme in springtime.
The scent of apple fills the air.
How about some candlelight?
Beeswax candle and a Baldwin brass candlestick.
Crystal to serve you, my dear?
Christmas gift from the hubs.
An after dinner stroll?
The view over the garden gate.
Happy Thursday Ya'll!

Early Spring
I heard a thousand blended notes,
While in a grove I sat reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.
To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What man has made of man.
Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;
And ’tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.
The birds around me hopped and played,
Their thoughts I cannot measure:--
But the least motion which they made
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.
The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.
If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature’s holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What man has made of man?

Dreaming of Spring Tablescape and a WINNER!
I don't think I've been this impatient for spring in a
very long time!
Handpainted glasses from Belk, a Mother's Day gift.
I love the lilac inspired plate that I've had for years.
You may recognize the Easter jar from an earlier post.
If you didn't notice already, the placemat is from Dollar Tree.Woven raffia in lots of pastel colors.
The birds have been singing alot here the last week or so.
It just makes me so happy to hear them in the mornings. I'm pretty sure a nest is being built in the gutter near my bedroom window!
Close-up of the plate...is it lilacs or hydrangeas?
Handpainted porcelain candlesticks from Italy...very well loved for many years.
I don't have a purpose for this jar but I couldn't resist the colors when I saw it. It has been living in the powder room.
(yes, I washed it first!)
And the winner of the St Pat's Day necklace by random number choice 23 is:
Sue, someone's Mom at I need Mom!
Woooo, wooooo!
