MET MONDAY - Window Seat

Little beknown to us, this window seat project would cause an entire kitchen re-do! We started the window seat last fall and ended the kitchen just a few days ago. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love it!



The bay window was crying out for something extra.




Framing, framing...

Alright! We're on to the decorative touches.




The extra storage space has really come in handy! Those of you who know me won't be surprised to hear that.




Finished! Except for the cushion. I'm hoping to have one custom-made one day when I hit the lottery.

  8. I'm jealous,jealous, totally jealous!! I've always wanted to do this except the bottom of my bay windows are too low. The valances are stunning. Thanks for sharing this awesome transformation.

  11. That's how ours started too :) Everything starts as " a quick fix " and then ends up in full out house remodel ;)
    I love your window seat. We still haven't made cushions for our banqette we made a few months ago. We too DIOurselves :P
