By the burlap bug!
And this weekend was the first time my sewing machine has been out of the closet in 4 years!
I had these old pillows in the closet that didn't work with my decor anymore so I decided to try out my burlap idea on them.
I cut stencils out of poster board.
Used a soft fabric paint and stencil brush...
Sewed the 16 x 16 square and Ta Da!
How about some tassels?
And a button?
I know you can't see me
but I'm doing my happy dance! LOL!
A special thank you to my muse for this project: Jen.
She has shared many awesome burlap and
pillow projects at Tater Tots and Jello
I'm sharing this post on the blog of each of the
lovely ladies below!

Love those! They are gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI'm doing the happy dance too, they are fabulous !
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome! You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic, Dena! The stencils look so crisp! Can I ask how you did the stencil out of cardboard? Did you use a vinyl stencil to make the cardboard stencil? I just got some transfer paper recently so I have plans to do some pillows using that. I think next weekend is my "pillow weekend"!
