The Goal: Freshen up the guest room
by painting the furniture and adding blue accents.
It is still a work in progress.
Spray painting this old, rickety chair a crisp
spa blue was the first item on my list.
I love the shape of the chair, I was thinking about
adding an Alpine-esque floral design on the back.
I like the new color and will revisit the stencil idea
when I'm finished with the other items.
I also painted this frame
The night table
and the old dresser.
A Christmas tray has been
repurposed for everyday use by applying
contact paper to fit in the bottom.
Still on the Agenda:
Painting the bed
making pillows
making a table runner
and
embellishing the curtains
and chandelier shades.
Phew!
I was amused seeing this chair...I have this chair..bought it in blue from some old man...it was old
ReplyDeleteI dry scraped it to reveal red underneath!

Love the green room,I've been looking for that grren in a comforter
very inviting room. love the colours! I'm visiting from all things related.
ReplyDeleteComing along I'd say...I love it! The chair looks fantastic as does the wall color. Also, I love what you did with the Christmas tray. :)

Wow,Dena, you've done quite a bit so far! Love the new chair color and I could see something coming down that back portion. Great shape to that tray ~ good idea to put paper over it so you can use it year round. Looking forward to seeing more!
