Our Open House Christmas Party was last Friday night.
People came and went throughout the evening, all told we had 52 awesome guests!
As usual for us, we forgot to take pictures during the actual festivities but my wonderful daughter did think to snap a few at one point during the evening.
I was so excited about the prospect of having a party and I was even happier with the way it all turned-out.
We ate, drank and were merry!
I almost have my husband convinced to make this
an annual event!
an annual event!
My husband took lots of preparation photos!
I don't know why I look so unhappy here...just too much on my mind I guess!
3 crockpots going!
The "shameless promotion" area.
I haven't finished the stairs...sadness
Man does not live by bread alone
Luminaries led the way
Honey, they're here!
The young adults got the best seats in the house!
Kelly and Alex were appointed my official minglers and mixers...you see where they are though! LOL
Actually they were very helpful, Kelly mixed up some delicious cranberry margaritas
and Alex answered the door a lot!
Becca and John were likewise appointed...music and mingling!
The powder room got a work-out! And of course nothing goes off without a hitch...the toilet had gotten a little loose in the floor in here and would bang against the back wall.
(we need a new one)
I asked hubby to try and tighten it the night before the "big" event. Of course it sprung a leak!
Needless to say guests were greeted by a towel and bowl on the floor.
I just love it when a plan comes together! Merry Christmas everyone, party at my house next year!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful wreath at your window and I love the red & yellow drapes. I specially love the print that's red & yellow with the roosters on it. Can't see much of yours but it caught my eye. Love roosters. Your party looks like great food & fun.
ReplyDeleteYour comment during one of my recent posts you asked about the silver polish I was using for my silver. I decided to go with the NEVR-DULL wadding in a can. My silver was so tarnished it took hours to do just a few pieces I had gotten but the results look great.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.~ ~Ahrisha~ ~
