Ok, I have to admit this just came together as I
ran around the house ranting about the sky falling
aka-tablescapes.
I did not detect the least hint of concern
that the sky may indeed be falling.
As my husband sat comfortably in
As my husband sat comfortably in
his recliner, watching television, unphased
by the whole sordid affair!
Anyway, such as it is....
the tablescape.
IDK-I feel like something is missing.
Maybe a swath of burlap in the center of the
table, under the armillary and such.
Or maybe placemats, black or burlap?
I like the way the candlelight is reflected here.
The fleur de lis was cut using the cricut.
Happy Thursday Ya'll!
May you all remain unphased by
pieces of the sky falling today!

Dena, I love the fleur de lis plates... and the toile. I just love toile, and black and white is one of my favorites! Your table is so well put together for throwing it together. No one would have ever noticed! Thanks for posting even under pressure!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Yvonne
Love the toile tablecloth and your fleur dishes, Dena! I found a scrap/sample piece of toile fabric that has a linen colored background and rust red print that I plan on making into a table runner for my dining room.
ReplyDeleteDena, love your black and cream toile/fleur de lis tablescape with a touch of yellowish gold...perfect!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I likey! Love the colors! Be blessed. Cindy

What a beautiful Frenchy tablescape, Dena. I love the fleur de lis plates and the colors are perfect. Love the toile tablecloth too...Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Dena, Wow, I would never have guessed that you just "threw" this tablescape together. I had to chuckle at the "sky falling", I'm new to this so I know that feeling. I did my tablescape on Monday so I would avoid that this week. I love that you used your Cricut to make the fleur de lis for your plates... and I love the toile table cloth. I just received a black dinner set from my husband this week, he's now supporting my new habit, ha ha! He is too funny!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do when you are not rushed. Have a wonderful, relaxing rest of the evening.
Hugz,
Kim

LOVE this color scheme -- SO elegant, especially with all the garden elements you've incorporated. The pops of yellow/gold add so much!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful -- so Frenchy! Very elegant and pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour plates are just wonderful. Love them with the toile. All the bunnies, finials and accessories are so pretty and elegant together. Beautiful tablescape. Hugs Marty
ReplyDeleteI love the fleur-de-lis plates and the toile together. They look great together along with the other accessories.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite tablescapes have been thrown together quickly. I think it is easy to "over think" the process. I love the black and white together. I think it is perfect as is...but I'd love it with round black placemats too (want to borrow mine). It was good to get back to blogging a bit today. I've decided that my mom wouldn't want me to be unhappy all the time and ignoring the things I love to do. So...my heart is still in Florida with my parents, but I'm jumping back in to life at home too. Thanks for visiting me today.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and your kind words. Hope you visit often.
I keep thinking....what would a sweet pickle taste like if it were dipped in chocolate. I might just have to try it.
Hope you have a happy CHOCOLATE day.
