rockin' around the neighborhood

Walk with me as I take a little stroll through the neighborhood

I love to see all of the beautiful Christmas lights and displays!

Unfortunately, the camera never gives them the justice they deserve

Santa's new mode of travel?

It just wouldn't be Christmas without Frosty

I just love this time of year, the night air is crisp and fresh and all is quiet and peaceful

Santa!

And home again!
I hope you enjoyed the stroll
as much as I did!

Wednesday is our 26th wedding anniversary!
Since it is so close to Christmas, we usually take a little stroll through Raleigh's Historic Oakwood neighborhood after a dinner out.
I'll post some photos on Thursday!

I hope you all get a chance to get out and see some beautiful Christmas homes in your area too!

  1. Hi Dena, It looks as if your neighbors like to decorate their homes. Our does not- in fact only one house is fully decked and another has a few lights. We used to live in a neighborhood that went all out and we took walks to check it all out.
I saw your previous post with all those snowmen on your butcher block shelves. You have quite the collection- it looks wonderful! Love the large candy canes in with the sparkly twigs and the giant snowman next to them.
Happy Anniversary tomorrow and a Merry Christmas back at ya! Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

  2. I just love all the Christmas lights...pretty! Our 35th anniversary is the 28th. What were we thinking? Anniversaries get a bit lost in the holiday spirit don't they?
