My new Friday posts are
Kit and Caboodle.
Basically anything goes,
my posts could be about anything
in the whole kit and caboodle!

I want to share my favorite
decorating book with you!
Susan Sargent's "The Comfort of Color"

Unfortunately, my photos don't give due
justice to the actual book.

I love the juxtaposition of open and airy
with fun and colorful!

There is something to it that I just can't duplicate.
I love color and use it all over the house
but the juxtaposition of light and airy eludes me.

Oh well, it's fun to dream anyway...

Maybe one day I will hit on the exact "look" that I imagine but have never quite achieved.

and it is fun to try...

and look

and dream

imagine

and try again.

Happy Friday Ya'll!
Here's to the home of your dreams!

  2. I can't wait to see all the fabulous blogs in bloggland on Rave reviews Wednesday!
I love the book you highlighted. When white is all the rave ( and I really like it... to a point) these rooms full of color are full of life.
    Lovely!

  4. What a great book. Thanks for the heads up!

Just checking in to say I miss you and wondered what you had been up to. We are knee deep in workmen, and I'm headed there now.

Hope you have a super weekend and hope that your mom is doing better...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  6. I love the pictures...you know what I think part of the problem is, those magazine and book rooms don't have real people living in them. No dust, no dog hair, no newspaper next to the chair!
